Mindfulness Centre
The Thoughts
Buddhism, established over two and a half millennia ago, has remained largely unchanged, while the world around it has evolved. The core teachings and values are timeless, but the challenge lies in ensuring their relevance for future generations. How can we sow the seeds of mindfulness, happiness, and better living into the hearts of those on Earth, especially in a world where suffering and negativity seem omnipresent?
We pondered: Why must temples feel so detached from the modern era and out of sync with upcoming generations? We realised there isn't a necessity for another traditional temple to bridge this gap.
Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh emphasized, "Buddhism is not a religion; it's a practice." Like yoga, it's an exercise in self-awareness and mindfulness, transcending religious boundaries. It’s about recognizing our self-deceptions and learning to be present.
This sparked our mission. While our foundation is in Buddhism, we recognised that temples and rituals aren't the sole paths to practicing its tenets. True practice is grounded in daily life, calling for a flexible approach to resonate with every living being. We envisioned a space where anyone, irrespective of their background, can seek connection, respite, and a path to enlightenment. Thus, the concept of a 'mindfulness centre' was born.

What IS a Mindfulness Centre?
It’s a multifunctional centre dedicated to living mindfully. It is the place to come to develop, confront and transform your mind for the better.
It is the place to un-burden yourself and the world from the stressful demands of life, society and your environment and a place to learn to live and be, better, be mindful for all.
What We Want to Achieve
Mindfulness centre is:
-
A meditation space
-
A Yoga sanctuary
-
A vegetarian restaurant
-
A modern tea bar
-
A mindful living retail space
-
A spiritual media / learning centre
-
An exhibition / performance space
-
A worshipping space
-
A community hangout space
-
A retreat
While it might appear ambitious, our ultimate vision is to design these as modular, plug-and-play centers. Depending on what aligns best with a city or local community's needs, each Mindfulness Centre can range from having just a couple of features to being a fully-equipped hub with all the offerings.
Our Vision
A world where mindfulness enables greater awareness, understanding, compassion, wisdom and kindness.
Our Purpose
To embody mindfulness and compassion in all that we do, internally and externally; practising the change the world needs.
